Think you make a great spicy pasta? Or the best chicken salad? Or the yummiest fish dinner?
Enter our recipe competition as part of Healthy Week 2010.
All you need to do is submit a recipe to our website before January 24th by emailing competition@studentcooking.tv
The recipe should be on the theme of healthy food, to link in with Healthy Week 2010 at the University. Remember "healthy" doesn't just have to mean low fat - it could range from food that is good to eat pre/post exercise; food that is good for your body e.g. for the brain, for building muscle tone; or food that is particularly high in a certain nutritional benefit like iron. Your recipe can also be in lay-persons terms. For example, if you use a knob of butter or a chunk of cheese, you can call it that rather than measure it out in grams.
The top 5 recipes will be reproduced in the University Refectory during Healthy Week so you'll see your recipe recreated and sold to hundreds of students! The winning dish will be assessed by a combination of volume of sales and a panel comprising the Refectory's top chefs.
Both the winner and the runner up will receive a £25 Refresh card that can be spent in the catering outlets across campus. The winner will also receive a signed StudentCooking.tv recipe book and a gourmet dinner cooked for them and three friends by the team at their house by one of the top Refectory chefs.
